- Funded by generous philanthropic support
- Developed by PolicyBridge
PolicyBridge is a public policy think tank with a regional focus. The organization provides research, analysis, and proactive initiatives that directly address the fundamental questions affecting the future economic growth, development, and stability of the Northeast Ohio region. By bringing together leaders, analyzing policy implications, and developing new partnerships, PolicyBridge plays an active role in influencing change. Its mission is to create and sustain high quality discourse addressing public policy issues, which enlighten and energize fellow citizens, prompting them to take action.
PolicyBridge participates in discussions regarding Public and Private Education in the State of Ohio. Education is a major factor in the growth and development of the State and the Greater Cleveland Region. The current reality of partisan politics, bureaucracy, limited vision and a school funding model ruled unconstitutional by the State of Ohio Supreme Court all limit the potential of Ohio schools and hinder the educational attainment of Ohio’s children.
In May 2007, PolicyBridge released The Rap on Culture. The report discusses the education gap between young African-American males and their counterparts and the role that negative media images, messages and community influences play with this target audience. Education Pay$ — Get Yours is a direct result of the report and the overwhelming outpouring of community support it received.
