TDG@policy-bridge.org
Tim Goler is a proud alumnus of the Cleveland Municipal School
District and is an accomplished educator, urban planner, community
activist and father. He is cut from the mold of his hero W.E.B.
DuBois- which has led him to dedicate his talents and training to
examining and analyzing critical public policy issues that impact
African Americans. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Tim has built
a solid reputation as a leader who has continually fought to level the playing field by creating economic opportunities for those who are least able to defend themselves.
Tim earned his bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Norfolk State University with honors. He furthered his academic development with a graduate degree in Urban Planning, Design and Development
from the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs. Among his most notable accomplishments are: his selection as a fellow of
the DeWitt Wallace Reader’s Digest Pathways to Teaching in Urban Education, being named “The Unsung Community Hero",
Cleveland Life Magazine, and his work as an elementary school teacher in the Norfolk Virginia Public School System. Tim served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and has worked as an administrator in the Cleveland Municipal School District. In addition, he has excelled
in the private and non-profit sectors in varied capacities as an educational consultant with the Learning Communities Network, the
Busara Group, Neighborhood Progress, the Green Building Coalition, and Mosaica.
Tim is a co-founder and the President of Policy Bridge. He serves on the advisory boards of numerous boards in the greater Cleveland
area including: the Cleveland Metropolitan Zoo, Catalyst for Cleveland
Schools Magazine, Special Education Services, and the Hunger Network
of Greater Cleveland. He is a member of 100 Black Men of Greater
Cleveland, Inc. and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He is the
proud father of a lovely daughter named Hannah, which is his greatest
achievement.
